Warriors Open First Home League Match Saturday at 1:30 pm

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - The Utah Warriors of Major League Rugby host their first regular season home league match tomorrow at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman. The Warriors play the Glendale Raptors, the current league leader with a record of 2-0. The Warriors are currently in eighth place with a record of 0-1. The game starts at 1:30 PM MST and tickets can be purchased at www.warriorsrugby.com or at the Zions Bank Stadium box-office.
 
The Warriors are out to spoil Glendale‚Äôs undefeated season as Team Captain Paul Lasike and the rest of the team look to avenge their 42-15 Preseason loss to the Raptors. 
 
"Glendale has been playing together now for almost 10 years in some form or fashion. They are as physical, fast and disciplined as they come. Despite our loss to Glendale in the preseason, we feel we have made the changes to play for an upset" said Warriors Head Coach Alf Daniels.

The Raptors, led by Coach David Williams and Fly-Half Will McGee, the league leader in scored points, are 2-0 and coming off of a 19-15 victory over the Seattle Seawolves.
The Warriors are coming off their first league match on Sunday, April 29 versus the San Diego Legion where they dropped a hard fought battle by a score of 31-24.

The Warriors will have three additional home league matches after this Saturday, including the following:

May 11 vs Austin 7:00 pm
June 16 vs New Orleans 2:00 pm
June 23 vs Houston 2:00 pm
