About the Position: The Merchandise Assistant will be the right-hand person and padawan to the Merchandise Manager (MM), helping to alleviate some of the work load tasked to the MM. They will be required to help create the most exciting fan experience possible while also ensuring an efficient and fun Team Store experience on game days, as well as a smooth and encouraging experience for customers via the online store. Most tasks will change throughout the year depending on whether we’re in or out of season, and they can range from tagging merch and doing inventory to running events that require playing kickball with kids in an anti-drug campaign or eating delicious food after running a rugby clinic at Poly Days
Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Fulfillment of online orders (pull a shirt out of a box, put it in a bag, slide a sticker and a thank you card in there, slap a label on it, let the nice USPS person pick it up, do a little dance)
- Help set up and run the Team Store on game days
- Help run events that the Warriors are attending (Sponsor events, town days, rugby clinics, fairs, rodeos, spaceship launches, etc.) doing everything they can to pump up the energy and encourage everyone they meet to come be a part of Warriors Nation
- At the end of the day the Assistant’s biggest responsibility will be to put themselves in the shoes of our fans and see what the experience looks like from their eyes, take notes, and see how we can improve it to be an even more fun and engaging experience
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

- Be able to lift ~40lbs from time to time

EXECUTIVE

About the Position: The General Manager–Commercial (GM) is responsible for providing leadership, management and strategic direction for the Utah Warriors’ commercial activities, including marketing, ticketing, events, partnerships and merchandise. Through direction with the CEO and in coordination with the Board of Directors and Stakeholders, the role requires the GM to make long and short – term decisions that are in the best interests of the organization from all commercial lines of effort, including ticketing, events, partnerships, marketing, production and merchandise. The interested candidate must be willing to work in many cases as a tactical operator alongside each of these commercial lines of effort—no job will be too small for this leader.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Commercial Performance

- Oversee the development and implementation of a revenue strategy that engages the Warriors’ partners, sponsors and fans to drive revenue and increase brand awareness in an effort to drive commercial growth
- Lead the Warriors’ commercial efforts to drive all revenue-related activity, including sponsorship, ticketing, merchandise and licensing/consumer products, and broadcast partnerships to achieve the Warriors’ revenue goals
- Lead the Warriors’ efforts to negotiate media contracts with local and regional broadcasters, OTT, social media channels or other online distributors
- Drive the further development of the merchandising strategy including the development of partner/vendor relationships, exploration and/or identification of e-commerce opportunities and licensing/consumer product revenue maximization
- Identify and develop new revenue streams to enhance the commercial growth of the Warriors, including keeping pace with industry advances such as digital media and legalized sports gambling
- Develop the brand positioning and messaging on behalf of the Warriors and serve as the primary storyteller for the organization with all external stakeholders including, but not limited to local and national media, corporate partners, broadcast partners, vendors and the fan base
- Execute brand and retail/revenue-driving marketing strategies that measurably achieve revenue, attendance and audience targets, and maximize profit margins and the Warriors- and club-level while building collaborative, integrated consumer and brand marketing standards;
- Curate the Warriors’ storytelling engine through creative and engaging content creation and communications strategies to consistently amplify the presence of the Warriors nationally and locally.
- Oversee management and development of Warriors’ ticketing team to create the most fan-inclusive ticketing team in the MLR, including premium hospitality programs.
- Develop gameday experiences that lead the MLR and local market in fan-experience as well using the sport and intimate nature of the venue as a driver for the gameday run of show.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business, sports management, marketing, communications, or related field
- Minimum ten years full-time experience in management of a marketing, commercial or other related organization. Familiarity with the sport and business of rugby, both in the U.S. and internationally, preferred, though not required
- Proven experience and success at director or senior management levels
- An understanding of new media platforms, digital content and online engagement trends
- Previous experience within the entertainment and media industry would be highly regarded;
- Successful track record in leading and growing an entrepreneurial organization

TICKETING
JOB TITLE: Lead Ticket Sales Representative

About the Position:The Utah Warriors are looking for a high-energy individual to focus on increasing their fan base. This person must possess a positive attitude and the ability to adjust quickly to frequent adjustments consistent with a startup franchise and league. Must be willing to step into any role or project needed and work closely with the front office and team staff to provide a fluid, enjoyable experience for all clients and fans.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work primarily with individuals to provide hospitality solutions that best fit their needs
- Meet effort and result criteria established by leadership
- Develop relationships with previous ticket buyers, small business owners, engaged fans etc. to purchase an appropriate ticket package
- Acquisition of new clientele through outbound calls, stadium meetings, out of office visits and other potential ticket holder events
- Work with team to maximize results with sponsorship and ticket sales as well as service departments
- Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives
- Utilize home games as an ideal way to build relationships, showcase our product and provide support for all aspects of putting on a major event.
- Help to grow awareness around the Utah Warriors brand through community involvement, engagement, opportunities and other team events
- Assist in gameday preparation and creating fun fan experiences
- Ability to work all Utah Warriors home games, possible weekends or holidays
- All other duties necessary as part of a startup sports franchise and league.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

STREET TEAM AND EVENTS

About the Position:The Utah Warriors are looking for multiple motivated and energetic Events Specialists to join the Gameday Events, Team Store and Street Teams. These specialists will help raise the creative bar of the events we attend as well as lead and inspire the team members they work with, while remaining rooted to the core values that drive us as an organization. The Events Specialists will be responsible for the execution of our various events, including gameday production, community activation events, as well as ensuring partnership needs and team store and merchandising plans are appropriately facilitated around each of these events. This job is perfect for someone who loves sports, and especially rugby, and is interested in learning the sports and entertainment industry by meeting people and working with the youth in the area.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and fulfill the event set up and logistics on the day and in advance in coordination with the Street Team & Team Store Manager and Events Supervisor
- Ensure event runs smoothly and is engaging
- Ensure event set up and operations are run professionally
- Help with client experience/answering questions if necessary
- Add to the client experience by making the event tent a fun and exciting place
- Setup, take down and storage of event gear
- Attend/manage event booth at a variety of events throughout Utah
- Transport gear to and from events
- Coordinate with other related Utah Warriors staff members as needed, including the Partnerships & Events Director, Partnership Manager, Gameday Operations Manager, et al.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly

ATHLETIC TRAINING
JOB TITLE: Athletic Training Internship

About the Position:Assist with day-to-day operations of the department during the pre-season, regular season, and playoffs: including prepping training rooms, stocking supplies, providing water to players during practice, and serving in the capacity of a first aid provider.
This is a paid internship and will be performed at our central office in Herriman, UT.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the entire sports medicine team to provide evidence-based injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for athletes.
- Complete injury documentation and treatment records as required by Major League Rugby.
- Report athlete information and updates to the medical team in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory and stocking of supplies.
- Assist with stocking and packing for away matches.
- Assist with match day set up at all home matches.
- Assist with practice and match day coverage.
- Support the performance and medical team with additional duties as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Must be BOC Certified
- Must carry Utah DOPL License to Practice Athletic Training
- Must carry Professional Liability Insurance
- Rugby experience is preferred, but not required
- Completion of World Rugby Player Welfare Modules (can be completed upon hiring)

About the Position:The Utah Warriors are seeking a Team Operations Intern to work with our rugby operations team in supporting our athletes. The internship will assist the Director of Team Operations. The intern will have the opportunity to learn and be involved with a variety of essential tasks; including but not limited to monitoring communication with other teams in the competition, coordinating travel, game day set-up and tear down, generating reports, and other associated tasks as required. Supporting the athlete is an important component of our on-field team, and this internship is critical to supporting those efforts.
This is a paid internship and will be performed at our central office in Herriman, UT.
