
WARRIORS COMMUNITY TEAM MEMBER
JOB TITLE: Community Team Member
TIME: Part-Time; 3-5 days per week, 10-30 hours per week; Must be able to work some evenings and likely all Saturdays from February – June
RATE: $18/hour

About the Position:
Assist in the organization, communication, and execution of all
Utah Warriors community events. These include but are not limited to youth
clinics, parades, town days, holiday themed events, school visits, Utah Warriors
game day, corporate experiences, etc. Our goal is to introduce an inclusive,
empowering, and fun new sport to the community including all demographics.
You will be taught everything you need to know about Jr. Warriors and how to
work with children. Rugby experience is a plus, but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
● Organize events to introduce and involve the community in Utah Warriors
Rugby
● Communicate to all parties involved with said events via email, texts, calls
● Assist in any Jr. Warriors clinics or events
● Attend, audit, and assist third party organizations who run Jr. Warriors
● Be involved in game day set up and operations at Warriors home matches
● Attend events in the community to create and build relationships with
organizations or programs we have not connected with
● Assist other departments as needed (merchandise, tickets, etc.)
Minimum Requirements
● 18 years of age or older,
● Ability to drive to any location across the Wasatch Front
● Coachable mindset, good communication and time management skills
● Confidence in speaking in front of groups of adults and children
● Ability to represent the organization and its core values in every environment
● Can pass a background check
● Must be able to work some evenings and likely all Saturdays from February – June

ASSISTANT STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING MANAGER
JOB TITLE: Asst. S&C Manager
DEPARTMENT: High Performance
REPORTS TO: Head Coach
TIME: Full-Time or Seasonal Contract

About the Position:
The Asst. Performance / S&C Manager, reporting to the Utah Warriors’ Lead Performance / S&C Manager, will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the physical preparation of the Utah Warriors MLR team and implementing and leading the physical preparation for the Utah Warriors’ pathway programs. The physical preparation includes the understanding and implementation of the appropriate sports science designed to enhance the individual and teams performance.
Primary Responsibilities
● Work with the Utah Warriors staff to build and maintain the “Utah Built” team culture and core values of Community, Family, Tradition, and Respect
● Support the planning of a yearly progressive and developmental strength and conditioning program for all athletes
● Support and plan daily/weekly schedules with all players and staff
● Support and plan training sessions with all players and staff
● Maintain player statistics – fitness tests, GPS data, body weight and body composition and progressions
● Demonstrate acceptable standardized procedures in gathering fitness test and other player performance data and delivering individual athlete fitness reports to coaches and players
● Ensure appropriate recovery and nutritional strategies to assist performance growth
● Meet daily with the sports medical staff on player health/injury status
● Support the Lead Performance / S&C Manager in managing the Warriors’ Return to Play protocols and coordinate with the respective internal and external stakeholders to manage accordingly
● Support the Lead Performance / S&C Manager in managing the Warriors’ sports medicine and medical partnership
● Work with and integrate the performance internships to maximise performance development (Sports Med, S&C, Massage, Sports Science, Nutrition)
● Coordinate and manage all tracking and performance plans for the Utah Warriors Pathway programs including the Selects and U18 teams
● Other duties as assigned by management
Minimum Requirements
● Recognized post-graduate degree or Higher National Diploma in Physical Education, Human Movement or Sports Science
● A recognized professional certification in strength and conditioning or similar field of practice
● 1+ years full-time experience as an S&C Coach in a collegiate or professional sports environment
● A record of program design and delivery of physical development programs
● An understanding of training science and data management as these pertain to current strength and conditioning practices in high performance sport
● Practical coaching experience across all the elements of high performance strength and conditioning
● Experience of developing and implementing objective return to play protocols and injury
rehabilitation programs in coordinate with trainers and medical staff
● Effective time management and the proven ability to work independently
● Flexible schedule to meet the team’s requisite training needs
Desirable Requirements
● A post-graduate degree in Sports Science or Strength and Conditioning
● Practical coaching experience in speed and agility training
● Recognized certification in sport related competence (i.e. SAQ, functional conditioning)
● Recognized First Aid and CPR certification
● Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical and teamwork skills
● Capable of working within a team environment and sharing responsibilities for player development and program management
● Excellent computer skills

STREET TEAM AND EVENTS
JOB TITLE: Events Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Street Team
REPORTS TO: Events Supervisor
JOB TYPE: Part Time/Hourly

About the Position:The Utah Warriors are looking for multiple motivated and energetic Events Specialists to join the Game Day Events, Team Store and Street Teams. These specialists will help raise the creative bar of the events we attend as well as lead and inspire the team members they work with, while remaining rooted to the core values that drive us as an organization. The Events Specialists will be responsible for the execution of our various events, including gameday production, community activation events, as well as ensuring partnership needs and team store and merchandising plans are appropriately facilitated around each of these events. This job is perfect for someone who loves sports, and especially rugby, and is interested in learning the sports and entertainment industry by meeting people and working with the youth in the area.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and fulfill the event set up and logistics on the day and in advance in coordination with the Street Team & Team Store Manager and Events Supervisor
- Ensure event runs smoothly and is engaging
- Ensure event set up and operations are run professionally
- Help with client experience/answering questions if necessary
- Add to the client experience by making the event tent a fun and exciting place
- Setup, take down and storage of event gear
- Attend/manage event booth at a variety of events throughout Utah
- Transport gear to and from events
- Coordinate with other related Utah Warriors staff members as needed, including the Partnerships & Events Director, Partnership Manager, Gameday Operations Manager, et al.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly
- Must be able to work standing and walking around for up to 12 hours

ATHLETIC TRAINING
JOB TITLE: Athletic Training Internship
DEPARTMENT: High Performance

About the Position:Assist with day-to-day operations of the department during the pre-season, regular season, and playoffs: including prepping training rooms, stocking supplies, providing water to players during practice, and serving in the capacity of a first aid provider.
This is a paid internship and will be performed at our central office in Herriman, UT.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the entire sports medicine team to provide evidence-based injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation programs for athletes.
- Complete injury documentation and treatment records as required by Major League Rugby.
- Report athlete information and updates to the medical team in a timely manner.
- Assist with inventory and stocking of supplies.
- Assist with stocking and packing for away matches.
- Assist with match day set up at all home matches.
- Assist with practice and match day coverage.
- Support the performance and medical team with additional duties as necessary to meet the needs of the organization.
Necessary Skills & Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
- Must be BOC Certified
- Must carry Utah DOPL License to Practice Athletic Training
- Must carry Professional Liability Insurance
- Rugby experience is preferred, but not required
- Completion of World Rugby Player Welfare Modules (can be completed upon hiring)

About the Position:The Utah Warriors are seeking a Team Operations Intern to work with our rugby operations team in supporting our athletes. The internship will assist the Director of Team Operations. The intern will have the opportunity to learn and be involved with a variety of essential tasks; including but not limited to monitoring communication with other teams in the competition, coordinating travel, game day set-up and tear down, generating reports, and other associated tasks as required. Supporting the athlete is an important component of our on-field team, and this internship is critical to supporting those efforts.
This is a paid internship and will be performed at our central office in Herriman, UT.
