“Kenny is a player that we’re excited to join our squad,” said Warriors Head Coach Alf Daniels. “Kenny’s had a lot of playing time both in the backline and as a loose forward. That experience in back three makes him a more dynamic loose forward, and standing at 6’4 he becomes a legitimate option for us in the line out. Kenny’s very dynamic has a lot of speed and has a knack for popping up in the right place at the right time. We look forward to seeing him in a Warriors jersey”.

Former KState Wildcat’s standout and Kansas City Blues Winger signs with the Warriors
Salt Lake City, December 4, 2017: The Utah Warriors and Head Coach Alf Daniels announce the signing of Kansas City Blues and Rugby Utah Selects 7s player Kendrick Scott
“I’m looking forward to joining the Warriors and seeing what this opportunity brings,” said Scott. “This past summer I spent some time with the Utah Select 7s and I’m really impressed with the young talent they have. As they’ve shown with back to back National 7s titles, Utah teams really dig deep and have the ability to show up when it counts. Working with that caliber of players every day will help me to lift my game. I can’t wait to get to work and have some fun with the Warriors”.
Scott only started playing Rugby while in College at Kansas State University. Soon after that he joined the Kansas City Blues and became a key weapon in their sevens side. As a 6’4 220 lb newcomer with speed to burn, Kenny began to grab the attention of local selectors. Kenny made the collegiate Heart of America All-Stars team and has played for Atlantis 7s, Denver Elite 7s and in 2014 was selected for the USA Hawks 7s team. Scott has been the Captain of the Kansas City Blues 7s team for the last six years leading them to the National final in 2016 coming second to the Rugby Utah Selects.
