Performance / S&C Manager, reporting to the Utah Warriors’ Lead Performance / S&C Manager, will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the physical preparation of the Utah Warriors MLR team and implementing and leading the physical preparation for the Utah Warriors’ pathway programs. The physical preparation includes the understanding and implementation of the appropriate sports science designed to enhance the individual and teams performance.● Work with the Utah Warriors staff to build and maintain the “Utah Built” team culture and core values of Community, Family, Tradition, and Respect● Support the planning of a yearly progressive and developmental strength and conditioning program for all athletes● Support and plan daily/weekly schedules with all players and staff● Support and plan training sessions with all players and staff● Maintain player statistics – fitness tests, GPS data, body weight and body composition and progressions● Demonstrate acceptable standardized procedures in gathering fitness test and other player performance data and delivering individual athlete fitness reports to coaches and players● Ensure appropriate recovery and nutritional strategies to assist performance growth● Meet daily with the sports medical staff on player health/injury status● Support the Lead Performance / S&C Manager in managing the Warriors’ Return to Play protocols and coordinate with the respective internal and external stakeholders to manage accordingly● Support the Lead Performance / S&C Manager in managing the Warriors’ sports medicine and medical partnership● Work with and integrate the performance internships to maximise performance development (Sports Med, S&C, Massage, Sports Science, Nutrition)● Coordinate and manage all tracking and performance plans for the Utah Warriors Pathway programs including the Selects and U18 teams● Other duties as assigned by management● Recognized post-graduate degree or Higher National Diploma in Physical Education, Human Movement or Sports Science● A recognized professional certification in strength and conditioning or similar field of practice● 1+ years full-time experience as an S&C Coach in a collegiate or professional sports environment● A record of program design and delivery of physical development programs● An understanding of training science and data management as these pertain to current strength and conditioning practices in high performance sport● Practical coaching experience across all the elements of high performance strength and conditioning● Experience of developing and implementing objective return to play protocols and injuryrehabilitation programs in coordinate with trainers and medical staff● Effective time management and the proven ability to work independently● Flexible schedule to meet the team’s requisite training needs● A post-graduate degree in Sports Science or Strength and Conditioning● Practical coaching experience in speed and agility training● Recognized certification in sport related competence (i.e. SAQ, functional conditioning)● Recognized First Aid and CPR certification● Excellent organizational, interpersonal, analytical and teamwork skills● Capable of working within a team environment and sharing responsibilities for player development and program management● Excellent computer skillsAll interested candidates can submit CV, cover letter and references to performance@warriorsrugby.com.
