Utah Warriors Announce 2022 Broadcast Partnerships
HERRIMAN, UT (Jan. 20, 2022) – The Utah Warriors have announced new breakthrough broadcast radio, streaming and rebroadcast partnerships that will allow Warriors Nation across the globe to watch Warriors matches as part of the most expansive and easily accessible broadcast plan in Major League Rugby and among professional sports teams in the state of Utah.
With the broadcast partnerships now in place the Warriors have now also locked in the 2022 kickoff times. The full slate of broadcast and kickoff times can be found on the Utah Warriors website and below.
Utah Warriors Television Partnership
Radio
The Utah Warriors are excited to once again partner with Utah’s leading sports radio stations in ESPN 700 in Salt Lake County and ESPN 960 in Utah County, following a successful partnership in 2021.
“We are very excited to once again partner with Utah’s number one sports talk in ESPN 700 and ESPN 960,” said Benson. “By partnering with Broadway Media, Warriors’ matches will be broadcast to over 50,000 households along the Wasatch Front, with many more having access to games via the ESPN 700 and ESPN 960 apps.”
Headlined by the Billy Riley Show on ESPN 700 and Cougar Sports with Ben Criddle on ESPN 960, Broadway Media and the ESPN Stations have been bringing Utahns the latest in sports news for decades. Additionally, ESPN 700 has served as the Home of the Utes for the past 70 years, as well as the home of Real Salt Lake radio broadcasts since 2005.
“We are so excited to continue to be a partner with the Warriors organization and look forward to helping build this unique community relationship,” said Steve Johnson, President of Broadway Media.
Fans will be able to listen to all Utah Warriors home and road matches this season on 700 AM or 960 AM radio along with the ESPN 700 and ESPN 960 Apps. Additionally, you can tune in to the Warriors exclusive “W Nation Show,” hosted by Warriors broadcast talent Jarom Jordan and Jared “Banksy” Danielson, every week on both stations.
Streaming
Following a successful partnership in 2021, fans will be able to stream most Utah Warriors matches on KSLSports.com and the KSL TV App.
“We saw great success by partnering with KSL Sports to stream matches in 2021 and we are thrilled to have them as a partner again for the 2022 campaign,” said Benson. “KSL Sports is the premier sports news website in the state and continues to grow their reach. Partnering with them allows Warriors Nation across the country to have access to Warriors’ matches.”
The Utah Warriors join KSL Sports’ already strong arsenal of sports coverage as the site is the exclusive streaming partner for RSL and high school sports, and recently acquired 1280 The Zone Radio, the home to Utah Jazz radio broadcasts.
“We’re beyond excited to partner with the Utah Warriors for a second year to stream their games on the KSL TV app, the KSL Sports app, and KSLSports.com,” said KSLSports.com Sports Director Nate Dowdle. “The Warriors’ audience is passionate about their team, and we’re thrilled to bring them their team’s games anywhere they can stream video.”
Rebroadcasts
In a unique partnership, the Utah Warriors and AT&T SportsNet have agreed to rebroadcast Utah Warriors matches on the regional sports network, the same broadcast home as the Utah Jazz, Colorado Rockies and the Vegas GoldenKnights.
“Our goal from this broadcast plan is to get as many eyeballs on the Utah Warriors as possible,” said Benson. “By rebroadcasting Warriors’ matches on AT&T SportsNet, our matches will be seen by a wide audience of prospective fans and future members of Warriors Nation.”
Warriors matches will air prior to select Utah Jazz games on AT&T SportsNet, allowing the opportunity for new fans to catch a glimpse of the team as they compete for a 2022 Major League Rugby Championship.
Returning for the 2022 season is veteran play-by-play broadcaster Jarom Jordan, host of BYUtv’s SportsNation alongside Spencer Linton, with Jared “Banksy” Danielson, an award-winning radio host for KBULL 93, as the color analyst and Ashlee Byrge as the sideline correspondent.
“We are extremely excited to bring another season of fantastic Utah Warriors rugby to the airwaves uniquely on the radio and on TV and digitally,” said Jordan. “The game is growing, people are latching on to what rugby is and the Warriors are one of the best teams in the league. It’s going to be another fun season.”
