Salt Lake City, UT — The Utah Warriors announced today that local TV and sports personalities Jarom Jordan and Jonny Linehan will call the games for the upcoming 2018 season. Jordan will serve as the play-by-play talent with Linehan providing his experienced color commentary.
Jarom Jordan has been a voice in the Utah sports community at BYUtv the past 12 years as a play-by-play, host, reporter, and producer most notably on BYU Sports Nation, Cougar Men’s Volleyball play by play the past 10 seasons, and BYU Football’s pregame show Countdown to Kickoff.
Jordan’s experience in rugby includes broadcasting and calling the play by play for the first live college rugby games on TV in USA history with BYUtv in 2009 and 2010 as well as behind the scenes work with ESPNU and NBC Sports Network.
“I’m excited to join the Utah Warriors on this maiden voyage as Major League Rugby gets going,” Jordan said, “Utah is a hotbed of rugby and I believe it’s going to make a splash, quickly. I think fans are going to like what they see from the league and from this team.”
