Warriors add Leber and Bergo to forwards pack for the 2019 MLR Season
Salt Lake City, UT – The Warriors have made some changes over the weekend to add support to their forward pack with the additions of Australian hooker Jeremy Leber and Brazilian international loose forward Arthur Bergo.
The native of Perth Australia stands at 5’8″ and weighs 200 lbs and brings with him experience playing at various levels of competitive rugby that lead to his inclusion with the Warriors for the 2019 season. He also had the opportunity to play for Australia Under-17s.
In 2014 Jeremy transferred from Australian National University to Lindenwood University where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Leber also played rugby while at Lindenwood and became a Collegiate All-American and also a D1A Academic All-American.
Before coming to the Warriors he played for the St Louis Royals.
25 year old Bergo is a native of Sau Paulo Brazil stand at 6′ 2″, weighing 220lbs. Currently playing with SPAC Club in Brazil, Bergo is considered one of their star players. Playing at loose forward, Bergo first got a taste of international rugby when he represented Brazil against Germany at Bluemenau on November 28, 2015.
In 2016 Bergo was also named on the roster to represent hosts Brazil in 7’s rugby for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Bergo has represented his country now 27 matches and has started for 23 of them.
