Warriors add UFirst Credit Union as Official Credit Union Partner
HERRIMAN, Utah – The Utah Warriors have agreed to a three-year partnership with UFirst Credit Union, making them an Official Credit Union Partner of the Utah Warriors, the organization announced Wednesday.
As part of the partnership, UFirst will be the Official Sponsor of the Utah Warriors Hype Team, which makes several appearances at Utah Warriors’ home matches along with appearances at community events.
Additionally, UFirst Credit Union will be the Presenting Sponsor of the Warriors’ match on May 21, 2022, when they take on the Austin Gilgronis as part of the Warriors’ Community Night, featuring fireworks and an alternate uniform that will be released on a later date.
UFirst Credit Union Corporate Marketing Officer Derek Knowlton felt the Warriors partnership gave them a good chance to expand their reach into the community.
“As UFirst Credit Union continues to expand throughout Utah,” Knowlton said, “We are excited to join the Warriors, foster growth of the sport of rugby, and strengthen our ties to the community.”
The partnership with UFirst is one that Utah Warriors Corporate Partnerships Manager Tom Schimpf said made sense because of the shared corporate values.
“We are proud to have a partner in UFirst Credit Union” Schimpf said, “They shares the same values and commitment to building a stronger community and a better Utah”.
UFirst Credit Union was founded as University Federal Credit Union in 1956 by a small group of professors at the University of Utah. UFirst quickly grew from serving employees on campus to serving University of Utah students and alumni.
Since then, UFirst has continued to grow and now serves anyone who lives, works, goes to school, worships, or volunteers in Salt Lake, Davis, Utah, Wasatch, Summit, and Tooele Counties. Today, UFirst serves more than 100,000 members.
