Warriors Announce Changes to Seating and Mask Policies at Zions Bank Stadium
Herriman, Utah — Following this week’s decision by the State of Utah as part of the “COVID-19 endgame” bill to terminate all public health orders regarding COVID-19, the Utah Warriors have announced a change in seating and mask policies for future home games.
Beginning with the Warriors’ next home game on May 8, against Old Glory DC, masks will no longer be required for fans in attendance at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. While masks are now optional for fans in attendance they remain strongly encouraged for anyone inside the stadium and spectators are asked to be sensitive and courteous to their fellow fans as we adjust to these new protocols.
Additionally, fans can now purchase food and beverage at any of the Zions Bank Stadium concessions and will be permitted to consume them at their assigned seat instead of being required to consume food and drink in designated concession areas throughout the stadium.
The decision to lift COVID-19 public health orders by Utah lawmakers comes after the State of Utah reached three benchmarks regarding COVID-19 numbers, including 1.65 million administered vaccinations.
“We are excited to be able to take one more step back to normal,” said Warriors Chief Revenue Officer Tyler Howell. “Safety for our players, staff and fans is always our highest priority. We are continuing to closely monitor the direction of our government health care leaders and facilities crew in determining how to best proceed as we continue to adjust to the most recent guidelines. Additionally, we work tirelessly to make the fan experience the best in Major League Rugby. Having every fan show respect for one another goes a long way in helping us meet this goal”.
While wearing masks is now optional for fans, all Zions Bank Stadium staff will continue to wear masks while inside the gates, including concessions, security, and merchandise staff members.
The Warriors will have seat options made available through the ticketing staff for any fans who have concerns regarding these changes to seating and mask policies and prefer to continue to wear masks and socially distance.
Mask and seating protocols are subject to change as the Warriors continue to adhere to local health guidelines.
Please call the Warriors ticket line at 801-477-7652 for any questions or requests regarding these new seating and mask policies.
