Jared was born and raised in Fiji, and is the second youngest of six children. His twin brother Joshua also plays wing for the Warriors. He moved to New Zealand in High School and played for Coach Alf Daniels at CCNZ. As a High School Senior Jared came to play rugby in Utah for United and helped them win their first National Championship. After served an LDS mission in Kiribati he returned to school at BYU where he was a Collegiate All-American, Captain, and National Champion. Jared has represented Fiji in Basketball, playing point guard at the South Pacific games and is married to his wife Kaitlyn.
