Lance Williams, a fourth-year flanker for the Utah Warriors, was born in Hawaii but raised in Western Samoa. At age 12, his family moved back to Kalihi, Hawaii where he lettered in multiple high school sports. As a linebacker, he played football at the University of Hawaii where he became a team captain and is the all-time leading tackler. He has played rugby for both the West Valley Lions and the Utah Select 7s.
A fan of athletes like Ray Lewis, Clay Matthews and the Tuilagi brothers, Williams believes that being a Utah Warrior is part of living the dream, which includes one day representing either Samoa through the Manu Samoa or the United States through the Eagles.
Williams works as a special needs preschool teacher. He loves working with young children and spends his evenings training youth athletes at Laione Fitness Gym.
