Tonata Lauti

Tonata Lauti was born in Vava’u, Tonga, the ninth of 13 children. When he was 8, he moved to Salt Lake City, where he participated in sports like football, basketball, wrestling, track and field, soccer and finally, rugby. Lauti went on to play rugby for the University of Utah and was a 4-time Collegiate All-American. He has also played for the US Select 7s.

A Bachelor of Science graduate of the University of Utah in Business Management, Lauti and his older brother own a concrete company based in Utah. They also run a men’s rugby club called Mana Rugby, where they recruit and help talented young athletes to receive a college education while pursuing their dreams of playing college ball. Lauti also assisted with the coaching of the UVU men’s rugby program from 2015 to 2017. Lauti became a Warrior in 2017.
