Lauti, Tonata

Tonata Lauti, a fourth-year wing for the Utah Warriors, was born in Vava’u, Tonga, the ninth of 13 children. When he was 8 years old, he moved to Salt Lake City, Utah where he participated in sports like football, basketball, wrestling, track and field, soccer and finally, rugby. He went on to play rugby for the University of Utah and was a 4-time Collegiate All-American.

A Bachelor of Science graduate of the University of Utah in business management, Lauti and his older brother own a concrete company based in Utah. They also run a men’s rugby club called Mana Rugby where they recruit and help talented young athletes to receive a college education while pursuing their dreams of playing college ball. Lauti also assisted with the coaching of the UVU men’s rugby program from 2015 to 2017. He became a Utah Warrior in 2017.
